Doors Open Day, Lyell Centre, Edinburgh | 29 Sep 2018 | 10am – 4pm

Doors Open Day programme
The Lyell Centre opens its doors to the public, as part of the Doors Open Day programme.

Robots, smartphone microscopes, a marine touch tank, dinosaurs and a 3D visualisation suite are just some of the amazing things you can encounter, when Scotland’s marine and earth science centre opens its doors!

BGS and Heriot-Watt University scientists will be on hand to chat about their research, and there will be a variety of short talks plus lots of hands-on activities to get involved with.

Attendance at talks can be booked at the venue on the day. There will also be tours of the new robotic assisted living lab!

Doors Open Days is coordinated nationally by the Scottish Civic Trust. It runs throughout Scotland every September as part of European Heritage Days. For more information see www.doorsopendays.org.uk or www.scottishcivictrust.org.uk
